Our History


The Manhattan Track Club (MTC) was established in 1963 to serve Manhattan, KS area youth and to foster interest and development in the sport of track and field.

The quality of the MTC program is exemplified by our history of success.  In the last 10 years alone, MTC has qualified 155 athletes in 252 events for the National AAU Junior Olympic Games. These athletes earned 56 medals including 3 National Champions. 

In 2010, 18 athletes qualified for the AAU Junior Olympics in Norfolk, Virginia with 1 medal earned. In the 2011 Indoor season Northern National Championships, 4 MTC athletes earned 17 medals, including 5 National Champions.
