NEW 2009 NEK Mini-Meet INFORMATION:
Hello everyone- I just wanted to let you know that North East Kansas Track Club will be hosting a pair of Wednesday night fun meets
on July 1st, and July 8th. This will give many of your athletes one last chance to compete in a fun/relaxed atmosphere before the
National Qualifier meet in Joplin, and the USATF Region 9 meet in Wichita. We will be hosting them
at Rossville High School in Rossville, Kansas
(located about 15-20 minutes North West of Topeka, on Highway 24. It is an 8 lane all-weather surface with cement rings, and a
grass approach for the Javelin. We will start the registration process at 5 pm, with field events slated for 5:30-7:00
(cafeteria style), and running events beginning at 6:30. The cost will be $5 per event, and awards will be handed out to the
top 3 finishers in each division. The meet schedule is listed below, and we look forward to seeing you at the meets.
Open/Masters aged athletes are welcome to compete, but will not be given awards, entry fee for adult aged athletes will be
by donation. There will be no event restrictions either by age or number of events entered. NFHS (one and done) false atart
rule will be in affect.

- Field Events- 5:30-7:00 (cafeteria style)
- High Jump (starting at 2'6") Please note that this will be a progressing bar!
- Long Jump
- Shot Put- (PB,PG-4#, BG,BB,MG,MB,YG-6#, YB,IG,YW-4K, IB,YM-12#)
- Turbo Javelin (to follow Shot Put)
- Running Events (Rolling Schedule beginning at 6:30)
- 1500 meter run
- 100 meter hurdles (all ages will run the 100 hurdles)
- 100 meter dash
- 800 meter run
- 200 meter dash
- 4x100 meter relay (all-call style)
- 400 meter dash
